Breakout credit

For complete flexibility, Credit value a breakout has is determined from a Numerator value and a Denominator Value assigned to each breakout. These are used to determine the 75% threshold needed for voting rights.

The Numerator value is added to the total credits a specific attendee has accumulated. The Denominator values of all breakouts (attended or not) are added to determine the final Numerator/Denominator ratio.

Both the Numerator and Denominator values for a breakout are normally set by the system in response to selecting Normal Credit, Extra Credit or Zero during the breakout setup.

However, they can be changed to meet special circumstances as the following examples show:

Num Den Meaning
 1 1 The default 1-credit breakout
 1 0 The default extra-credit breakout
 0 0 The default zero-credit breakout

 5 1 A 5-credit breakout
 2 2 A 2-credit breakout that counts as 2 in
               determining the threshold

The latter case might be used for a 4-hour breakout (covering two timeslots) so that an attendee would get credit for both but only have to sign in once.
